United and Casemiro had been working on a potential departure in January amid interest from Besiktas, Al-Nassr and Roma. However, the Brazilian ended up staying at Old Trafford. Journalist Jorge Nicola and Bolvaip have now reported that Flamengo are considering signing the 32-year-old on a loan deal.

Despite the winter transfer window having closed in England on February 3, the window will continue in Brazil until February 28. The Red Devils are said to be on board with the deal to send Casemiro to Brazil. However, Flamengo are still thinking about whether they want to sign the five-time Champions League winner as his wages could prove to be 'risky' to their finances, despite United being willing to take on part of his salary during the loan.
